Help and technical FAQ
Short videos first, then the questions people ask once they start using AI Calendar. Still stuck? Use Report an issue in the app (left menu, above Settings) or email us; a real person reads every message.

More walkthroughs (adding a schedule, setting up Deal Alert, connecting Google or Outlook) are on the way.
Getting things in
- Your forwarding address. Each member has a private address at
in.getaicalendar.com, shown under Settings → Calendars → Getting things in. Forward confirmations, invites and school emails to it from any mail app. - Automatic forwarding. Gmail: Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP → Add a forwarding address, then a filter that forwards matching senders. Outlook: Settings → Mail → Rules → Forward to. Yahoo, AOL and iCloud Mail have the same kind of forwarding rule in their mail settings.
- Photos, PDFs and screenshots. Add with AI takes several photos or files at once (pick them together on a phone), PDFs, links and pasted text. Nothing is added until you tap Add on the cards it shows.
- From your phone. Settings → Send from your phone gives a QR code that opens an upload page on any phone, no app needed.
Calendars and sync
- Google Calendar and Outlook. Two-way: events you add here appear there, and changes made there come back within a minute or two.
- Apple Calendar. Subscribe to your private feed: iPhone Settings → Calendar → Accounts → Add Subscribed Calendar, then paste the link from Settings → Calendars. It is read-only on the iPhone side and refreshes on Apple's schedule (usually within an hour).
- School and sports apps. Most (TeamSnap, GameChanger, SportsEngine, Canvas and others) publish a calendar link ending in .ics; add it under Settings → Calendars and it stays up to date.
- Time zones. Events keep the time zone they were made in. A meeting invite's own time zone always wins over what the AI read from the text.
Leave-by times and traffic
- Every event with an address gets a drive from home, work or the event before it. Paid plans can switch on live traffic for drives over 8 miles; shorter drives use an estimate.
- The time is checked again before you leave (45 minutes before by default). If traffic changes it, you get one alert for that event.
Texts and WhatsApp
- WhatsApp is included with Individual (up to 300 messages a month) and Household (up to 500 for the family). Texts are an add-on: $2/month on Individual (up to 150), $6/month on Household (up to 400). Free has neither.
- Each person picks one: WhatsApp or texts, under Family → their name. Only the person whose phone it is can turn it on.
- What goes out this way: the daily schedule, the weekly schedule, price drops (up to 3 adults per family) and traffic changes to a leave-by time (one per event). Everything else stays in the app, push notifications and email.
- Reply TODAY for your schedule, SNOOZE 10, LEAVING, or STOP to end messages.
Plans and billing
- Individual is $10.49/month and Household $12.49/month for up to 6 people ($0.99/month for each person beyond that). Paying annually saves about 20%.
- Change plans, update the card, download invoices or cancel under Settings → Plan and billing (Stripe's secure billing page). Cancelling keeps the plan until the end of the paid period.
Privacy and security
- The AI reads only what you send or forward. Imports are read by OpenAI's API, with Google Gemini and xAI Grok as backups, through paid business APIs whose terms do not let them train on what we send. The privacy policy lists every service we use.
- The full text of an import is kept with the event so it can be checked and fixed later; photos are not kept after they are read.
- Calendar links (feeds) work like passwords: anyone with the link can read that calendar. You can reset a link from Settings → Calendars.
When something looks wrong
- “Session expired.” Sign out and back in. If it keeps happening, report it with the page it happened on.
- An event at the wrong time. Open it, fix the time, and use Report an issue so the AI learns from it.
- The same event twice. Usually one copy came from Google or Outlook sync and one from an email import. Delete one; tell us if it comes back.
- On a phone, pick several photos at once. In the photo picker, tap Select (iPhone) or press and hold (Android), then tap each photo before Add.
